The objective of the SET was to test the operation of the Saginaw 147. 240 repeater using 5 watt HT’s in 6 different zones around the county. Each operator was given a zone to test coverage using their HT. If they were able to contact Net Control, data was exchanged and they were sent to their next location. If they were not able to contact Net Control with the HT they then tried their mobile radio on low power. Then mid and high power if needed. Net Control collected data on what the operator was using, their location, what sites they were bringing up and what site they were voted on, the signal strength and the quality of the audio signal.

M 13 and Vern Rd west to Bueche Rd to Furgus Rd west to M 52 south to E Johnson Rd east to North State/Corunna Rd north to Ditch Rd east to M 13.

M 13 and Washington south to Willard Rd east to Seymour left to Burt Rd right-east to Reese Rd north to Curtis Rd west to M 83 Frankenmuth north on Main to E Genesee right to S Reese Rd north to M 46 west to Sheridan Rd

Operator - Brooks

M 84 (Bay Rd) and Freeland Rd south to Court St left to M 13 right to M 46 left to S Reese Rd north to M 15 left then right back to S Reese Rd north to Markel Rd west to Jones Rd north to W Munger Rd west to N Portsmouth Rd south to M 81 west to I-75 north to exit 154 Zilwaukee to Adams left to Kochville Rd west to Bay Rd.

M 84 (Bay Rd and Freeland Rd west to Hospital Rd north to Hotchkiss Rd west to S Saginaw Rd right to Gordonville Rd left over river to River Rd leftsouth to Orr Rd right to Gratiot Rd (M 46) east to Midland Rd M 47) north on M 47 to State St.

Operator - Mike

Bancroft site was experiencing issues at the time of testing. A later test in Oakley with an HT was successful. Zone 3 data was not available due to operator equipment issues.
