Occupational Form n “… is the objective set of physical and sociocultural circumstances, external to the person, at a particular time. The occupational form guides, structures, or suggests what is to be done by the person. ” (Kramer, Hinojosa, Brasic Royeen, 2003, p. 90) JH/BSc/09

Occupational Form explained n ‘external to the person’ i. e. everything that surrounds an individual (and is not part of them) is said to be part of their occupational form – e. g. clothes, objects, etc. n Occupational form is objective. JH/BSc/09

Physical Dimension n Temporal Change – moment-to-moment change influences occupational performance. E. g. ‘eating’ occupational form changes, i. e. the quantity of food reduces signalling the end of the occupation. JH/BSc/09

Sociocultural Dimension n Sociocultural issues are often too pervasive and familiar, as such they can be hard to identify, or we may be unaware of them. JH/BSc/09
