Triangular Trade • "Triangular Trade” was a pattern of trade between Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Europe Americas Africa

From Europe to Africa • Europeans traded manufactured goods like cloth, rum, and weapons to Africa.

From Africa to the Americas • Africans sold gold and people to Europeans. The African people were shipped to the Americas where they were used as slaves.

Slaves in America • In the Americas, slaves grew sugar and tobacco. Slaves also mined for gold and silver in the Americas.

From the Americas to Europe • The sugar, tobacco, gold, and silver produced by slaves in the Americas was shipped to Europe.

Move on to the Practice • Take the next few minutes to move on to the “Practice” part of your notes, #1 -5 • Then use the map in the Power Point to label the one in your notes with each continent and the goods being traded in the Triangular Trade. • Lastly, move on to the “Think” Questions! Answer all 3.
