Object pronouns

Quarterback (QB) the subject of the sentence, the person doing the action - because the QB is the person who runs the play.

Line of Scrimmage ACTION verb what the QB is doing, the action that gets the direct object (the football) across the line of scrimmage

Football the direct object, what is receiving the action from the line of scrimmage action verb

Wide Receiver (WR) who/what is receiving the football (the direct object), to/for who/what the football (the direct object) is being given/intended for (indirect object)

Sujeto IOP Verbo DO IO Mi novio me dice mentiras a mí.

Quarterback (QB) Sneak You want to be sneaky and hide the football so you replace the direct object with a direct object pronoun - BUT you cannot have both the direct object and direct object pronoun in the sentence because that would be like having two footballs in the same game, which is against the rules. You are sneaking the football (the direct object) by replacing it with the direct object pronoun

Mi novio me dice mentiras a mí. Mi novio me las dice a mí.

Hand-off Same as the QB Sneak but with the wide receiver (the indirect object) - you are just quickly handing the football off to the wide receiver (WR) but now you want to replace the indirect object with the indirect object pronoun - however, here you can have both the indirect object and indirect object pronoun because in a football game, you can have two WR

Mi novio me dice mentiras a mí.
