S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has established regulations – It is important to make sure any product that is consumed is FDA approved
Bariatric Clients Benefits for Taking Dietary Supplements – Depending on the type of surgery the client had they do not always get all the nutrients from their food. – Bloodwork would need to monitor to see what is missing from their diet. – Clients are at risk for deficiencies due to the small quantity of food that can be consumed – The area where most of the nutrients are absorbed is bypassed. – The following are the most common – Iron – B 12 – Vitamin D 3 – Calcium – Protein
