OBJETIVO O presente estudo teve como objetivo o levantamento sistemático da literatura sobre o uso de animais na educação ambiental. RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÃO A reconexão do indivíduo com a natureza pode ter maior potencial num ambiente apropriado (KIMBLE, 2014). Para Ramos (2001) a EA é uma ferramenta para diagnosticar e propor soluções para as questões ecológicas. O POTENCIAL USO DE ANIMAIS NA EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL Segundo Schlegel et al. , (2015), alguns aspectos podem contribuir para a dissociação negativa do animal. RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÃO Os projetos de EA podem ser mais eficazes se forem considerados alguns aspectos (OLIVEIRA et al. , 2019, SHAPIRO et al. , 2016). EFETIVIDADE DO USO DE ANIMAIS COMO FERRAMENTA PARA EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL Os autores Wagler; Wagler (2014), demonstram que os vieses negativos são fatores maleáveis. Jensen (2014) observou que, educandos que foram guiados em uma visita à um zoológico, apresentam resultados mais positivos.

RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÃO Métodos alternativos, podem representar uma maneira eficaz de promover a alfabetização ambiental (SOLER; SILVA, 2017), (BOERO et al. , 2009) Segundo Ballouard et al. , (2015), campanhas midiáticas, desenhos, e filmes podem auxiliar na reconexão com o meio natural. MÉTODOS ALTERNATIVOS PARA USO DE ANIMAIS COMO FERRAMENTA PARA EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL Utilizando questionários para identificar a percepção dos alunos em relação aos vertebrados selvagens Oliveira et al. , (2019), obtiveram achados semelhantes aos de Alves (et al. , 2014). CONCLUSÃO A utilização de animais como ferramenta para a educação ambiental, de acordo com os dados apresentados neste estudo, é uma estratégia eficiente. Pois, os animais, sejam eles quais forem, são instrumentos valiosos para a aproximação da população humana com o ambiente natural. Os dados também revelaram que, para o desenvolvimento de projetos de educação ambiental utilizando animais podem ser adotados diversos métodos, incluindo o manejo de exemplares vivos, fixados ou taxidermizados, bem como, questionários, fotografias, dentre outros instrumentos. Independente da metodologia empregada, os resultados são consistentes e positivos. Sendo assim, o contato do educando com animais, seja no ambiente formal ou informal de aprendizagem, pode despertar maior interesse, empatia e respeito por eles.
