L VE The theme this month for February is LOVE. In John 15: 12 -13 Jesus said “This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this; than to lay down ones life for his friends. ” The New Life Children’s Home opened its doors in 2009. Since that time we have seen hundreds of children come to New Life Children’s Home (NLCH). We have also seen hundreds leave. We also know we will see many more make a temporary home here. We are a temporary solution to such a growing epidemic. NLCH along with its supporters is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and families. These children come from all different walks of life. They all have one thing in common and that is a desire to go home with a loving mother and father. Sadly, for some of these children, reuniting with their families will not be an option but for some it will be an answer to a much needed prayer. Please remember to pray for all of the children that have been at NLCH, all that are to come as well as all the others that are in need of a safe, loving and stable environment. Together we really can make a difference in the lives of these children that will last throughout all eternity. Thank you for being such an important part of NLCH and for your prayers for the children. However, this young man chose to go his own direction in life and ended up in the gutters of life. He became addicted to drugs as well as alcohol and his life became unmanageable. Psalms 107 (NIV) says “Some became fools through their rebellious ways and suffered affliction because of their iniquities. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains. “ This is love that God would reach down and heal a sinner like the young man in this story. Now the young man has made a commitment to God that he would spend the rest of his life showing God’s love to others.
