O artista australiano Scott Marr realiza suas pinturas

O artista australiano Scott Marr realiza suas pinturas utilizando pigmentos naturais e pirografia. Pirografia é uma das técnicas mais primitivas de pintura, onde o desenho é queimado sobre a base escolhida através de ferramentas aquecidas. Scott Marr é um mestre na técnica pirográfica e vem se aperfeiçoando há 15 anos, utilizando diversos pigmentos de origem natural, como flores e folhas, em superfícies de papel e madeira. Seus temas sempre focalizam a relação do ser e da natureza, abordando a irreversibilidade da influência de um sobre o outro. Scott estudou Arte na “Julian Ashton Art School and TAFE”, mas se considera um artista autodidata. Seus primeiros estudos permitiram uma introspecção para os fundamentos e a prática do desenho. Os pigmentos que ele usa são todos feitos à mão de materiais naturais, que recolhe à beira da estrada, no jardim e às vezes até mesmo na cozinha. Parte da sua técnica de processamento é a de adicionar fixadores naturais, conservantes e substâncias de vinculação. Com a evolução de sua técnica ele tem conseguido uma crescente paleta de cores, com tons que vão de terrosos a matizes coloridos. Pelo caráter dinâmico e sazonal do mundo natural onde o artista busca sua matéria prima, a cor de hoje pode ter outra tonalidade amanhã. Scott já participou de exposições em alguns países e em 2011 realizou uma grande exposição individual na “Lost Bear Gallery”, NSW, Austrália.

Biography: Australian artist Scott Marr performs his paintings using natural pigments and pyrography. Pyrography is one of the most primitive way of painting, where the design is burned on the chosen area, using heated tools. Scott Marr is a master in the pyrographic technique and has been improving his Art for about 15 years using various pigments of natural origin, such as flowers and leaves, on paper and wood surfaces. His themes always focus on the relationship of being and nature, addressing the influence of the irreversibility of one over the other. Scott studied Art in “Julian Ashton Art School and TAFE”, but considers himself as a self-taught artist. His early studies allowed him an insight to the fundamentals and practice of drawing. The pigments he uses are all handmade from natural materials, which he collects on the roadside, in the garden and, sometimes, even in the kitchen. Part of his processing technique is to add natural fixing solutions, preservatives and binding substances. With the evolution of his technique, he has achieved a growing palette of colors, ranging from earth tones to vivid hues. Due the dynamic and seasonable character of the natural world where the artist seeks his raw material, the color of today may have another hue tomorrow. Scott has participated in exhibitions in some countries in 2011, and held a major solo exhibition at the “Lost Bear Gallery”, NSW, Australia.
