2015 -16 Data Collection Information Staff ID Ø Staff ID for each staff member must be consistent across all templates. Ø Use TEACH ID from TEACH system. Use 9 numeric characters, left padded with zeros. For example, for 1234567, use 001234567.

2015 -16 Data Collection Information Staff Attendance – New Template Ø For teachers only. Ø Report full-day absences. If out for only part of a day, do not report as an absence. Ø Report type of absence.

2015 -16 Data Collection Information Attendance Code – Attendance Code Type Ø Attendance Code Type can be “STUDENT” or “STAFF. ”

2015 -16 Data Collection Information Staff Snapshot Ø Starting in 2015 -16, Staff Snapshot records should be loaded to Level 2 as early in the school year as possible. They are needed for teacher PIN generation for TAA Accounts for teacher roster access and e. PMF teacher form access. Ø CONTRACT WORK DAYS is a new field in Staff Snapshot in 2015 -16 used to report the number of work days the staff person is expected to work in the LEA based on the staff contract or appointment.

2015 -16 Data Collection Information Staff Snapshot – Original Hire Date Ø Effective date of first board appointment (or other official hire date if not currently board appointed) of teacher or principal. Ø If a teacher or principal left and was rehired within the school year, the district may use the earlier hire date. Ø If a teacher or principal had left service for more than a year and was rehired in a subsequent school year, the district should use the later hire date. Ø If a teacher becomes a principal, report a teacher hire date and teacher exit date, and then report a principal hire date.

2015 -16 Data Collection Information Staff Snapshot – Salary Ø Include the staff member’s salary regardless of whether or not the salary contract is in negotiations. This field cannot be left blank.

2015 -16 Data Collection Information Staff Snapshot – Race/Ethnicity Ø The Race/Ethnicity fields are optional for school districts. Ø If data are provided in field #21 (Race or Ethnicity Code), then data must be provided in field #69 (Hispanic Ethnicity Indicator) and vice versa.

2015 -16 Data Collection Information Staff Tenure – Tenure Area Codes For 2015 -16, TCH is no longer available, and there is an expanded list of Tenure Area Codes. Report one record for each tenure area.
