NYK Logistics, INSD - Bangladesh Security Measures between CY/CY & CFS/CY shipments CY/CY CFS/CY No visibility on cargo details until arrives at destination deconsolidation point. Single checkpoint for the consignee whenever they need to verify the cargo condition. Stuffing is not supervised by any dedicated staff or trained labour, this poses high risk of wrong cargo stuffing into containers. Warehouse staff receive & staff cargo physically. Cargo is checked even at SKU level at the time of receiving and again checked at the time of stuffing block-stow wise. Wrong stuffing would result in rework cost at destination deconsolidation point which may result in bearing even the cost of airfreight. Stuffing is supervised and done before various personnel of consolidator, security staff, shipper's custom handling broker & warehouse staff, this eliminates the risk of wrong cargo stuffing into containers. Stuffing by non-trained labours causes poor loadability of containers. Stuffing by professionals ensures maintaining highest loadability of containers. Different vendors would open different boxes for the Purchase Orders with same Ship Week or same DC Due Date which incurs extra cost for consignee. Purchase Orders with same Ship Week or same DC Due Date can be consolidated if different vendors deliver cargo at a common warehouse, thus cost can be minimized. May not have enough facility to stuff different packing of cargo (flatpack, pallets, bales, rolls etc. ) safely into one container. Warehouse is equipped to stuff different packing of cargo (flatpack, pallets, bales, rolls etc. ) into one container. 12
