Ask your WIC clients if they have a bridge card (can also view in their MIWIC record).
Ask your clients if they know they can use their SNAP benefits at Farmers Markets. If local markets offer DUFB, share this information too.
Ask your clients if they ever visit Farmers Markets. This may be a new experience. If possible, share the times of your local market and provide tips on visiting the market. • Remind folks to bring their own bags. • Let them know about parking. • Suggest they browse the market first to see what is available, look for the best prices, and estimate how many tokens to get from the main market booth. • Encourage shoppers to talk with the farmers; they are proud of what they produce and usually love to talk about it!
