Nursing Programs • RN-to-BSN Program • Must finish a nursing program first • 2+2 nursing program • Residential – live at Coastal • Direct admission to the HGTC nursing program for the first two years • Complete junior and senior years at CCU in the RN-to-BSN program

2+2 Nursing Program • Competitive admission – Minimum eligibility: 1100 SAT or 22 ACT

2+2 Nursing Program • Competitive admission – Minimum eligibility: 1100 SAT or 22 ACT – Freshmen year is very challenging with full academic load and clinical components

2+2 Nursing Program • Regular freshman application to CCU – In the space for

2+2 Nursing Program • Regular freshman application to CCU – In the space for major, choose Undeclared Science, or list your second choice major • Be sure to answer the question that asks if you are interested in nursing – You do NOT need to apply to HGTC • Apply by December 1 • If you retest and get higher scores prior to December 1, be sure to have the scores sent to CCU Admissions

An offer of admission to the top applicants – Late winter/early spring (i. e. March); will require a response • An alternate list is kept

Campus Life • Students can participate in all clubs and in intramural sports •

Campus Life • Students can participate in all clubs and in intramural sports • Cannot participate in NCAA sports • Cannot participate in fraternities or sororities until Junior year • No campus jobs except Aramark or B&N, but not encouraged in the first semester due to program rigor

Financial Aid • Any merit award offered in the CCU acceptance letter will be forfeited • SC scholarships can be used • Apply for Financial Aid at HGTC after accepted to 2+2 program and HGTC • Apply for Financial Aid at CCU when returning to CCU for junior year

2+2 Residential Nursing • 2 days a week at HGTC Conway and 3 days

2+2 Residential Nursing • 2 days a week at HGTC Conway and 3 days a week at HGTC Grand Strand – By midterm, clinical at Conway Medical Center (shuttle provided) • Shuttle provided to HGTC Grand Strand campus first two semesters – No shuttle for clinical second semester • Students will need a car or carpool for semesters 3 to 5

2+2 Nursing Program • Students can take RN licensure exam after successfully completing two

2+2 Nursing Program • Students can take RN licensure exam after successfully completing two years at Horry Georgetown Technical College – RN license needs to be in the state of residence – Once students have an RN license that makes them eligible to work in SC, they can work as a nurse while finishing the BSN
