Activity Create statements of for each of the inequalities on Numeracy and Mathematics Support Page and also on Assignments: Write a sentence to describe each of the balance images and then create three of your own Find the missing numbers in each of the balance images and calculate their value then create 3 balance images Work with a partner at home and create your own balance patterns using the images on the support page Calculate the value of the area and perimeter of the rectangles and squares on PPM 71 Calculate the value of the compound shapes by splitting them up into common shapes Calculate the value of the compound shapes with missing parts ALL: Find items in your home that you can measure: table, television, books and create a recording table for your items. Estimate the perimeter of each item in cms and them measure. If you do not have access to a device to measure, then use non standard measures such as hands. All: Calculate the area of the cubes on the Numeracy and Mathematics support page. Go on a hunt around your house and find items that hold liquid – record their quantities in your assignments.
