Numeracy and Mathematics Learning Intention Monday Mathematics (Expressions and Equations) Tuesday Mathematics (Expressions and Equations) Wednesday Mathematics (Expressions and Equations) Primary 7 Weekly Planning Grid - Week beginning 01/06/20 Activity We are learning to solve simple equations using a function machine. Solve the Function Machines on the Numeracy and Mathematics Support Page and also on Assignments: Complete the function machines using addition and moving forwards Complete the function machines both forwards and backwards Create your own function machine outdoors • Choose up to three operations and calculations and write them out on paper (+3, x 8, +10) and lay them out in your garden • Use a dice to get a starting number (if you roll a 4, start with four and move through your function machine) • For example, 4 + 3 = 7, 7 X 8 = 56, 56 + 10 = 66 Be willing to make it spicy! Can you multiply by decimals? Add in division? Go backwards? Thursday Mathematics (Expressions and Equations) Friday We are learning to solve simple equations using a function machine. Health and Wellbeing – (Leavers’ Show)Transition L/I Primary 7 Weekly Planning Grid - Week beginning 01/06/20 Activity Memories – Written • Take your time to consider how long you have been at Lorne Primary School • Come up with three key memories that you would like to share with the rest of the school community through your time here – this could be teachers, friends, sad or funny moments • Write them out into short sentences and upload them to your form – we will select ones for the show once we have them all submitted Monday Photographs • Take the time to go through any photographs of your childhood • Try and find one of you as a baby, one of you at Lorne and a happy school photograph that you might have • Upload your photographs to the Leavers’ Photos folder on Teams – make sure that they are clearly labelled and that everyone in the photograph has agreed to its use Tuesday Wednesday We are learning to create a presentation. Script Writing • Meet in your group channels online for your individual scenes (the focus of each scene will be decided online and groups decided by Mr Aitchison) • Start to write your own lines based on the focus of your scene and the pictures that we have gathered • Create 5 – 10 lines each that are clearly labelled and in line with our script work from March/April 2020 Thursday Friday Script sharing session • Each group should be prepared to share their scripts so far online using microphones • Once agreed, each group can start to individually film the parts of their scenes

Activity All: Sumdog Challenge Roll your words using playdough/similar Throw A Ball Words Create at least 3 sentences using a spelling word of your choice each time. Draw a picture for each of your spelling words. All: Sumdog Challenge Back Write Words Vowel/Consonant Circle Create at least 5 sentences using a spelling word of your choice each time. Use a Thesaurus and uplevel at least 5 of your words. All: Sumdog Challenge Use dots and dashes to show phonemes in each word Choose a task from spelling sheet Create a silly paragraph using all of your words Words within words tasks 1. Access Epic! Reader using our class code kxi 0360 2. You have been assigned four different scripts on Epic Reader 3. Respond to the questions in the assignment about the structure of the scripts Extension: Act out the script aloud with people in your household Working in groups of 6, you will be writing a part for our Leaver’s Show and theme of this will be decided in the class conversations online prior to today. Once you have your focus, you must write a short script that you can act out online. Everyone must have at least three lines within your script and be willing to read and film their lines too *More guidance will be shared through online chats* Now that you have written your script, your next task is to edit it following feedback from Mr Aitchison Following the tutorial online, you must now film your individual parts of the Leavers’ Show and begin to upload it online.
