GNSS Phase Fluctuations for Time and Frequency Transfer LT = UT - 4 LT = UT + 8 0: background noise level, 1: moderate irregularities, 3: strong irregularities Ionospheric irregularities affect GNSS time transfer and TWSTFT. GNSS phase fluctuations obtained by observing the GPS and the GLONASS can be used to monitor ionospheric irregularities and show signal quality. 6 /13
