What is the Green. Seeker RT 200? ü Zone Managing Variable Rate Nitrogen Applicator. ü Uses Geen. Seeker Sensors averaged together to produce a mean NDVI for the particular zone. ü Controls the application rate of existing control systems. ü Resolution of approx. 4000 square feet.
Resolution Issues RT 200 Resolution RT 500 Resolution
Pros and Cons Advantages • Low cost compared to Green. Seeker RT 500 • Uses the already existing boom • Fewer sensors and cables Disadvantages • Poor Resolution compared to RT 500 • Large Lag Time in Controller Response approx 4. 0 sec = 60 ft • Applies fertilizer based on previous zone readings.

RT 200 Statistics (Dague Field) RT 200 • Average NDVI =. 375 • Average NDVI readings if sensor placement is shifted 2 feet down the boom. 416, . 433, . 415, . 413 RT 500 • Average NDVI =. 419 (average of entire field)
Conclusions • Green. Seeker RT 200 has its place in Precision Agricultural mainly due to the low risk associated with this from of variable rate nitrogen application. • This system is still able to address the issue of temporal variability, but spatial variability is being buffered due to lack of resolution proper control.
