Economics at NSF We continue to be the largest SBE program, but our funding is growing more slowly than the overall SBE budget. n Last Year: 368 submissions, 36% funded. n High Success Rate due to an additional $4 million in ARRA funds exhausted n Fall 2009: 30% increase in proposals. n
New Small Grant Mechanisms n Grants for Rapid Response Research (RAPID) n n n Early-concept Grants for Exploratory Research (EAGER) n n n Severe urgency with regard to availability of or access to data and facilities. Max of $200 k/1 year. Exploratory work on untested but potentially transformative ideas or approaches. Max of $300 k/2 years. Must contact Program Officer before submission.
