Sound-powered Telephone System • Sound-powered – Instead of a battery, your voice provides the power – Failure of the electrical system has no bearing on the phones • Primary battle telephone circuits – Means of communication between selected battle stations on a circuit – No dialing is necessary COMPASS : : http: //compass. seacadets. org/ U. Sound-powered Circuits • Always begin with “J” • Second letter is a subdivision of the circuit • All major circuits have an outlet on the bridge!
