The membership of IEEE 802. 24, including both the 802. 24. 1 Smart Grid Task Group and the 802. 24. 2 Io. T Grid Task Group would have an interest in IEEE 2030. 5, as an application layer protocol that complements the IEEE 802 standards. 802. 24 requests the establishment of a liaison with IEEE P 2030. 5 for the purpose of sharing information and recommendations regarding the revision of the P 2030. 5 standard and other matters as appropriate.
