NOUGHTS AND CROSSES: LESSON 9 RECALL STARTER: HOW WOULD YOU HAVE THE LIGHTING FOR ACT 2 SCENE 10 – PRISON. WHAT LIE DOES CALLUM TELL HIS DAD? HOW DOES KAMAL TALK TO SEPHY? WHAT DECISION HAVE SEPHY’S PARENTS MADE FOR HER? This lesson contains your second SPW for Noughts and Crosses. You will be expected to write a practice exam question. We are going to look at the 12 mark question which asks you about how 2 or three characters interact in the extract you will be given.

I’ll be down as soon as I’ve had my shower. I promise. JASMINE. There’s nothing wrong? SEPHY. Course not. What could be wrong? SARAH turns to leave and notices CALLUM’s remaining trainer. JASMINE. You’re hiding something. I know it. SEPHY. Just cause I overslept? SARAH heads towards the trainer. Sarah, what? Sarah surreptitiously kicks the trainer under the bed, then covers her movements by tidying SEPHY’s bedclothes. JASMINE. My daughter is quite capable of making her own bed, Sarah SARAH. Yes, Mrs Hadley JASMINE. I’m watching you.
