Daily Procedures 1. Follow unit and UMT Stand-To and Stand-Down Procedures - Get up when everyone else is up! - Pack all gear not needed for use that day for hasty departure - Inspect everything: equipment, vehicle and supplies; ensure are ready to go at all times. - Have a Quick Grab bag for emergencies (Ruck sack with minimal gear and Sleeping Bag) 2. PMCS Vehicle at Stand-To and Stand-Down - Never get fuel tank below 1/2 - Top off frequently - Fuel and water cans full at all times - especially prior to departure from unit 3. PCI to include: (Use UMT checklist) - Update UMT and unit positions and key locations (AXP/LRP etc. ) on map - Check Radio and FBCB 2 status - Ammo, MRE and other supplies 4. Initiate/Check COMMS @ Stand-To and Stand-Down - Daily COMMS Check with BN and Division UMTs on FBCB 2 after Stand-To (send free text message and request reply) and on SINCGARS at designated time daily - Send UMT SITREP Report at designated time - COMMS check with unit on A/L net - FBCB 2 and GPS working
Daily Procedures 5. SITREP Update with unit - Update unit positions, casualty information, CHEM and ADA Status, vehicle update etc. at a minimum after Stand-To and Stand. Down. - During Battle, Battle Track with CTCP to stay current - Update map with current unit and BCT UMT positions and be prepared for a MASCAL situation - Check with Medics frequently - Know where to go and what to do when casualties arrive 6. UMT meets after Stand-To and Stand-Down to plan for daily and next day activities and discuss any Updates or changes - Know what is going to happen throughout day - Where to be, when and with whom, doing what - Plan for next day to include routes, equipment, coordination and times 7. Keep unit/higher technical chain aware of UMT position at all times - When departing, log-out with unit and update UMT Status Chart 8. MASCAL BATTLE DRILL PREPARATION - Upon notification of MASCAL, contact BDE UMT - Designate a MASCAL Bag and pre-pack with pen, notebook, religious items from representative faith groups, handiwipes and handkerchief. NOTE: CA must know where it is at all times. - Full Camelbak - Know MAS/FAS/AXP positions at all times - Reference (ADD Unit) TACSOP.
