Northwest Ohio Commission NORTHWEST OHIO COMMISSION ON GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION & PHYSICIAN WORKFORCE UT College of Medicine MS IV Student Survey SUMMARY OF SURVEY FINDINGS 47% planned to pursue a career in primary care of these 12% Family Medicine 12% Internal Medicine 22% Pediatrics 59% indicated that they would pursue subsequent fellowship training 31% of those surveyed intended to practiced in an underserved area. 17
Northwest Ohio Commission NORTHWEST OHIO COMMISSION ON GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION & PHYSICIAN WORKFORCE UT College of Medicine MS IV Student Survey SUMMARY OF SURVEY FINDINGS 2% of the respondents indicated that their first choice is UTMC 4% said they would prefer a program in any Toledo/NWO. 34% preferred to seek residencies in the state of Ohio 61% preferred to seek residencies outside of Ohio. 9% indicated they would prefer to practice in Toledo/NWO 41% indicated they would prefer to practice in Ohio 18
