North Miami Middle/High School Dress Code

Student Dress and Grooming • This presentation is intended to provide you with verbal and visual description of what will be accepted at North Miami Middle/High School in terms of Student Dress and Grooming.

Guidelines For Student Dress and Attire • 3. Shorts and skirts must be at least mid-thigh • (All students are expected to wear appropriate length shorts and/or skirts during the school day).

• All of these girls in each picture are wearing shorts/skirts that are shorter than the old 4” rule, but they are still appropriate for school. Shorts/skirts should be NO shorter than mid-thigh on all students. Appropriate Shorts/Skirts

• All of the students in these pictures are wearing shorts/skirts that are considered too short for our Dress Code. Shorts/Skirts should NOT be any shorter than midthigh. Inappropriate Shorts/Skirts

Guidelines For Student Dress and Attire • 10. All leggings, yoga pants, and other form fitting pants (except “skinny jeans”) must be worn with a top (shirt, dress, sweater, etc. ) or bottom (skirt, dress, shorts, etc. ) that appropriately covers the front and rear region below the students waist. • Butt Cheeks must be covered!!!!!

Appropriate Way to Wear Leggings/Form Fitting Pants

Dress Code • Use common sense when deciding what to wear when you come to school. • Ask an administrator before wearing it if its questionable • More Freedom = More Severe Consequences • 1 st Offense = Written Warning/Change • 2 nd Offense = Two (2) 90 minute ASD • 3 rd Offense = 3 days OSS (Out of School Suspension). • Have fun and be creative with your dress, but be serious about your education, your future, safety of you and others, and be a positive representative of North Miami.
