Fa. DSS • FIP families receive home visits monthly as they move from welfare to work through this partnership with DHS and PROMISE JOBS. • Currently contracted for 72 families in the 9 county area.
Who is eligible for Fa. DSS? FIP families living in Butler, Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Kossuth, Mitchell, Winnebago, or Worth County who are: Currently unemployed OR Have experienced multiple episodes of employment OR Face multiple barriers to employment.
Community Partners • Community Partners is a voluntary home visitation program. Family Development Specialist work on goals that the household establishes which can include housing, parenting skills, medical issues, referrals etc. • The program formed a partnership with Mercy Medical Center-NI (Mercy One) in 1998. • Current Active Caseload is 25 Households
Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) • This program is a home visitation program, child abuse prevention program that serves Cerro Gordo, Hancock, Winnebago and Worth counties. • Serve families regardless of income who have a child in the home between the ages of 0 to 18. • Our program has served 66 families, 93 parent/caregivers and 156 children. July 2018 - March 2019.
United Way Housing Program • A partnership with NICAO and United Way to assist households who are near homelessness, facing eviction, behind on their rent or need assistance with their security deposit • Currently have 17 households enrolled in the program. 6 active referrals • We have had over 50 households apply for the program and average 4 -6 a week that inquire about the program.
DHS Home Visitation Program • A partnership with DHS to assist families that are exiting the formal DHS system. This program provides the family support to prevent the family from re-entering the DHS system. • Only DHS staff are allowed to refer to this program…possible changes in the future.
