Points to Ponder about Element A: • When a large number of students fail a test, the teacher realizes that the method used to deliver instruction was not effective for most of the class. (Developing) • The teacher brainstorms changes to instruction that can be made. • The teacher realizes that lesson plans must be consistently analyzed and adapted to fit the needs of individual students each year. • The teacher can regularly explain to the principal how instruction is planned using results from assessment data collected by the teacher. The teacher needs to critically analyze the why, looking at all details of instruction. • The teacher will discuss informal assessments and how those assessments impact instruction.
