Roots/Education Rockwell is an American artist, born in New York in 1894. He was shifted towards the arts since a kid, he even quit high school to start learning at the National Academy of Design. Also learned principals of commercial commissions from Art Student League that he carried out throughout his life.

Successes He found early success, by the age of 16 he had printed 4 different Christmas cards. And at age 22 he painted his first of many covers of the Saturday Evening post. However most of his success was between 1930 -1940, the artworks based off the average American life was more present and popular when he moved during this period.

Famous Art One of his most famous paintings is the painting of the four freedoms, based off of Franklin Roosevelt's speech. These works toured the US and help raise more than 100 million for the war efforts. Some other artworks that are famous also include:

Reflection At first the main reason why I chose Rockwell was because of him being a famous American artist. However with being an artist he had a way bigger effect than I thought on the nation and the world. This project really showed to me what he has done for our country and gave me a better and more understanding of how famous he was in his era.
