FOUR FREEDOMS This art represents the Four Freedoms which President Roosevelt had mentioned to Congress in 1941. These four freedoms are 1. The freedom of speech and expression, everywhere in the world. 2. The freedom to worship God in his own way, everywhere in the world. 3. The freedom from want, everywhere in the world. 4. The freedom from fear, everywhere in the world.
THE SATURDAY EVENING POST Norman Rockwell created artwork for the magazine The Saturday Evening Post at the age 22, and continued to do so for 47 years with 321 covers made. Bottom of the Sixth (1949) Homecoming GI (1945) It’s Income Tax Time Again! (1945) Santa at the Map (1939)

REFLECTION I found the artwork of Norman Rockwell very interesting, and how he started at a very young age, how he was so passionate about art that he even dropped out of high school to have a career in art. Also that his artwork was mostly about just everyday life of the American people. I also liked that he drew out the four freedoms that FDR said everyone in the world should enjoy. http: //www. nrm. org/
