Norbert Goeneutte nasceu em Paris, França, em 1854. Após seus estudos no “Lycée Condorcet ”, trabalhou no escritório de um advogado. Em 1871, ele iniciou sua formação artística na “École des Beaux-Arts ”, onde estudou pintura com Isidore Pils. Em 1875, Goeneutte abriu seu próprio estúdio no bairro boêmio de Montmartre. Conheceu Pierre-Auguste Renoir e outros pintores impressionistas como Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, e era um admirador de Édouard Manet. Em 1876 fez sua estreia no “Salon” de Paris. Femme sur la Plage
No início de sua carreira Goeneutte adotou um estilo acadêmico tradicional de pintura. Além de alguns motivos orientais, ele inicialmente preferiu cenas de gênero, interiores e retratos de membros da família e amigos. Mais tarde adicionou às suas pinturas, paisagens da Normandia, Flandres, a região em torno de Bordeaux e Paris. Além de pinturas a óleo, Goeneutte também trabalhou em aquarela e técnica de pastel, deixando uma extensa coleção de desenhos. Suas ilustrações foram reproduzidas em várias revistas como “L'Illustré Nouveau Paris”, “Paris à l'Eau-Forte ” e “La Vie Parisienne” e, também, no romance “La Terre”, de Émile Zola. Norbert Goeneutte was born in Paris, France, in 1854. After his studies in the “Lycée Condorcet”, he worked in the office of an attorney. In 1871, he began his artistic training in the “École des Beaux-Arts”, where he studied painting with Isidore Pils. Im 1875, Goeneutte moved to his own studio in bohemian Montmartre. He met Pierre-Auguste Renoir and others Impressionist painters as Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, and was an admirer of Edouard Manet. In 1876 he made his début at the “Salon”, in Paris. Later Goeneutte associated with the founders of the “Societé des Français Peintres-Engraver”, graphic designers who organized exhibitions, mainly of etchings. Old Road to Auvers, 1892 Goeneutte traveled to London in 1880, to Rotterdam in 1887 and to Venice in 1890, among other cities.
Nature Morte Japonaise
At the beginning of his career , Goeneutte followed a traditional academic style of painting. Besides some oriental themes, he, at first, preferred genre scenes, interiors and portraits of family members and friends. Later he added up to his paintings landscapes of Normandy , Flandres, the region around Bordeaux and Paris. Besides the paintings in oil, Goeneutte also worked in watercolor and pastel technique and left an extensive collections of drawings. His illustrations were reproduced in several magazines as “L'Illustré Nouveau Paris”, “Paris à l'Eau-Forte” e “La Vie Parisienne and, also, in the novel “La Terre » , by Émile Zola.
