Non finites - Definition Non – Finites are those forms of verb which are derivatives of Finite verbs but they can not perform the full function of Finite Verbs
Nature of non finites They are not affected by: - 1. Number of subject. 2. Person of subject. 3. Tense 4. No modal is used with them.

Infinitive - Definition To + Verb (1 st Form) is called Infinitive
The infinitive - As Subject of a Verb As Subject (Subject is always a Noun) of Verb (A. V. ) 1. To err is human. 2. To forgive is a divine. 3. To tell lies is a sin.
The infinitive - As Object of a Verb As Object (Object is always a Noun) of Verb (M. V. ) 1. We want to study. 2. She likes to eat an ice cream. 3. I promise to help you.
Participle - Definition Verb acting as Adjective Is called Participle They have 3 forms: - 1. Present Participle (Verb + ing) 2. Past Participle (Verb 3 rd Form) 3. Perfect Participle (Having + Verb 3 rd Form)
Participle - Verb + ing As Adjective 1. Jumping doll is sold at this shop. 2. A crying child gets milk from his mother. 3. The film was interesting.

gerund - Definition Verb acting as Noun Is called Gerund = (Verb + ing)
gerund - As Subject (Subject is always a Noun) of Verb (A. V. ) 1. Smoking is injurious to health. 2. Walking is good exercise. 3. Gambling is a very bad habit.
gerund - As Object (Object is always a Noun) of Verb (A. V. ) 1. I don’t like smoking. 2. Stop writing on the wall. 3. I love eating ice cream.
Non finites Now the final lessons 1. In the first blank of the sentence you should put Verb + ing form. 2. In the other blanks of the sentence you should put To + Verb form. 3. In there is any preposition before the blank then you should put Verb + ing form.
