Our Position • Home Depot should not expand to Nicaragua next because of: – The awful location – Bad infrastructure – a lot of natural reserves

Awful Location • • In Nicaragua it rains a lot creates sinkholes It’s a really poor country they won't be able to purchase anything from Home Depot.

Bad Infrastructure Barely any roads are paved in Nicaragua • • 25% of the roads in Nicaragua are paved 18, 000 miles of road are barely paved Difficult to manuver • Dirt roads Nicaragua's ports • It is really expensive to transport goods by plane, or ship

Lots of Natural Reserves • Natural reserves • there may be lots of trees but they are in the • • • natural reserves Theres about 83 protected areas in Nicaragua which is 20% of Nicaragua You get fined for trespassing the national reserves Home Depot won't function if the trees that are in reserves are not to be cut down

Even Though. . . • • • Home Depot has the Carribean Sea to their advantange for transporting foreign goods to Nicaragua. Home Depot needs local goods not foreign goods Also Nicaragua dose’nt have roads so ports are no use if theres no paved roads
