2016/17 contract changes • A national investment in the contract for 2016/17 of £ 220 m to uplift the contract and take account of increased expenses, including: • A pay uplift of 1% • Increase in vaccinations & immunisations item of service to £ 9. 80 • Changes in the value of QOF point to £ 165. 18 • A revised national GMS price of £ 80. 59 • Funding to cover increased business expenses including CQC costs • All vaccs & imms programmes are to continue in 2016/17 with the exception of changes to meningococcal B, meningococcal C and meningococcal ACWY (see below) www. england. nhs. uk

DES 2016/17 • The Extended Hours and Learning Disabilities schemes will be extended for a further year. • The Avoiding Unplanned Admissions (AUA) enhanced service will be extended for a further year from 1 April 2016, with minor changes to clarify timeframe for care reviews. • Dementia diagnosis and support DES not extended.
