Refer to the bottom left corner of the scoresheet. There is a ‘Key’ to all the symbols used during a set
Complete the top section of the scoresheet Visitor playing Home in a scheduled 7: 30 pm Varsity match - this is the first set of the match Visitor Home High Home 10 -22 -2015 7: 30 pm
• Referee will inform scorer which bench the home team has selected • Scorer will write the team names on the score sheet according to the side each team will be on during the set (game) • After the coin toss the referee will inform the scorer which team will have first serve
Team names are written on the score sheet as the teams are on the court. In this set Visitor is on the scorers left and Home is on the scorers right. Visitor will have first serve. Place an ‘X’ in the First Serve box. Visitor Home High Visitor Home X 10 -22 -2015 7: 30 pm Home

• Referee will collect the line up sheets from each team • Scorer records the numbers of the starting players of each team on the score sheet from the submitted line up sheet – under Player No. • Each square on the score sheet represents one play or action such as a serve, substitution or a time out

• The running score column is marked as the game progresses. • When there is a discrepancy between the running score column and the individual scores, the individual score is considered official.

Be sure the correct player number is serving Check the player # every time a server goes back to serve Remember – they are not the wrong server until they contact the ball for serve If not the correct player number serving notify the referee immediately there is a wrong server

What Goes in the Comments Section? • Penalty Warning Yellow Card = PW#12 Team name(7 -6) When writing the score it is the score at the time the card is given – the team score receiving the card is placed first, then the other teams score No Penalty point assessed with a yellow card • Penalty Point Red Card = PT #3 Team (7 -3) Loss of rally/point awarded to opponent • Disqualification =Yellow &Red Card = DQ#4 Team name(4 -14) Loss of rally/point awarded to opponent • Concussion Management = CM #6 Team(8 -3) • Exceptional Substitution = ES #4/8 Team (7 -4) • Re-designated Libero = RL#3/6 Team (9 -5)

What if a team does not have a Libero? No tracking will take place for that team Note- A different libero may be designated for each set, but the designation must be made on the lineup sheet when it is submitted to the official scorer before the set.
