Partnerships between Health Care Providers and Adult Education Programs • If you are an adult education provider, what can you do? • If you are a health care provider, what can you do?

Adult Education Providers • Provide learners with examples of health related materials • Familiarize learners with the health care system • Find out what are the health issues that face your learners • Be proactive, professional, and value what you do! • Identify and network with heath care stakeholders • Understand the health system culture

Health Care Providers • Raise awareness of importance of clear and understandable communication • Raise awareness of low literacy levels of many adults • Raise awareness of how patients view the health care system • Identify and network with adult education stakeholders • Understand the adult education culture • Provide adult education programs with health materials
