NEWS BROADCAST PROJECT HISTORICAL EVENTS
Historical Events (Video) - It will require four (4) students per group. - The news will be based on a historical event(s). - The news will replicate the news broadcast during the assigned time period. - Each group will be given a topic to report on the news.
Project Requirements 1. Concept Web – 1 per group 2. Video Clip (5 -7 minutes) - Each group can use their phone camera and load it to “You. Tube” to create the video. 3. Share-out the videos to the class.
Create a “You. Tube” video. Each group will create a “You. Tube” video. Follow the instructions from the “Create a You. Tube video”. The video can be deleted after the instructor grades the project. Do not delete the project until the grade is entered in Power. School or no credit!

Time Management - Each group must create a video clip that is at least 5 -7 minutes. Anything below 5 minutes or above 7 minutes will result in getting points subtracted. *Make sure to use a timer to stay within the timeframe.
What should be on the Video Clip? - Each student will do a news report on specific topics during the assigned historical time. - Each student will pretend the news was done during the past. - The report can be done inside (studio setting) or outside (live footage in the field).
What should you wear? The project will simulate as a real “news report. ” The news reporters should dressup to present the news for a good grade.
Newsroom Setting It should be done in a quiet place to simulate a news room. Background – White sheet Furniture – Table and chairs
Suggestion Watch various nightly news to get an idea of the format used in presenting the news.
Visual Aids Use pictures or visual effect in the background to enhance your news report. Use the following visuals: -Charts, Graphs -Pictures -Graphic Organizers
