Overview of the NV Education Program • One year program. • Students interested in a career in education. • Modeled after the New Visions Health Professions Program. • Olean Center: 7: 30 – 10: 50, Monday - Friday. • Accreditation via JCC. • Students have potential to earn college credits Foundations of Education, Public Speaking, English 1510/1530. (Gen. Psych. and Intro. To Sociology? ? ) • Gov. t/Economics. • Cost – same as sending a student to a CTE class.

JCC Program Requirements • Students are to complete a minimum of 40 hours of field work experience. • Participation in the COIL Program – international program interacting with students from China. • Lesson Plan Development. • Teach a lesson in their fieldwork experience. • Teaching Strategies. • Journals. • Case Studies. • Common Core. • Various Projects.
