New Student Orientation for New Undergraduate Students at UT is an ongoing process (new students admitted each term at UT) Three Primary Programs • Rocket Launch – new students • Rocket Transition – transfer students • Rocket Re-Discover – UT post-secondary enrollment option program students (tailored program) • Currently developing a new program for non-traditional students

Rocket Launch • New Students • Includes: • Students who have never attended college

Rocket Launch • New Students • Includes: • Students who have never attended college (direct from high school and non-traditional/adult) • Can include students with post-secondary credit or Advanced Placement credit • One-day program (9: 30 am – 5 pm) • College specific (program dates specific to UT colleges) • Overnight accommodations available in a residence hall

Rocket Launch Program Schedule (Student Union) • Check-in • Photo taken for Rocket Card (Student ID), Placement Testing, MMR Verification • Continental Breakfast • UT General Welcome • Academic Expectations (academic support services, academic integrity, etc. ) • Rocket Game Show for students/Family Tour for guests (student services, policies, procedures) • Money Matters 1 (financial aid, account/billing) • Lunch • Information Fair (student organizations, UT offices/depts. , vendors) • College meetings (advising/registration – various locations) • Money Matters 2 (review of mock bill, Q&A) • Residence Hall Tours (hall specific – summer only) • Academics, Alcohol Awareness, and You (informational session) • Online Program Evaluations – receive Rocket Card/T-shirt upon evaluation completion
