Course Eligibility Legacy New Registration Timeline Registration occurs after final grades are posted You will be registering for classes before final grades are posted for the semester in progress Your eligibility is automatically checked by the registration system So… in some cases, your eligibility will not be known at time of registration If you are ineligible, you are blocked from registering (depending upon department preferences) The system will allow you to register, but you will be dropped after final grades are posted if course eligibility is not met

Course Eligibility The system will allow you to register whether or not you meet course eligibility. When final grades for the previous term are posted if you do not meet course eligibility for a class you have registered for you will be dropped from that class or waitlist.

When you meet with your advisor… Prepare multiple registration plans Plan A – Primary plan Develop this plan with the assumption that course eligibility will be met Plan B – Alternate plan Have this plan ready in case eligibility for all Plan A courses is not met and you are dropped
