Introduction: New Nassiriya Refinery is a grassroots Refinery to be located near Nassiriya in southern Iraq (approx 200 km from Basrah and approx 300 km from Baghdad) with a capacity of 300, 000 BPSD. . ………………. The Refinery is to be designed to be capable of processing 300, 000 BPSD of Nassiriya Mishrif crude oil or a 50/50 mix of Nassiriya Mishrif (27. 8) /Basrah regular (32. 5) crude oils. ……………………… The Refinery design is based on meeting the more stringent of International specifications (Euro IV, except Euro V for sulphur content for white oil products) or local Iraq specifications.
