Osher Lifelong Learning Institute § The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Denver is an adult learning membership program designed for men and women age 50 and "better" who wish to pursue lifelong learning in a relaxed non-competitive atmosphere. § We are proudly celebrating 20 years of providing stimulating classes at multiple OLLI sites in the Metro Denver area.
Osher Foundation § The Bernard Osher Foundation, headquartered in San Francisco, was founded in 1977 by Bernard Osher, a respected businessman and community leader. § The Foundation seeks to improve quality of life through support for higher education and the arts. § Thanks to the generosity of The Bernard Osher Foundation, OLLI at the University of Denver joins a network of more than 120 Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes across the United States that are meeting the needs of older learners who want to learn simply for the joy of learning and personal fulfillment. Community education at an adult learning center helps imaginations thrive and OLLI at DU is an essential community education program.

Who Develops The Courses Volunteer Facilitators Approved by the Curriculum Committee “Volunteers are not paid; not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless. ”
Who are the Facilitators? Passion over Pedigree § § § Volunteers with a passion for art, history, science, current events, literature, religion, etc. The lifeblood of the organization. Facilitators are in a class by themselves due to the innumerous hours they spend preparing for a class and then presenting in the classroom. “Individually we are special; together we are spectacular. ”
Facilitators – con’t § § While we have many facilitators from academia, many with very advanced degrees and experience, the vast majority are not. They are simply individuals who wish to share their passion. Volunteered to “learn along with the class members”. Excited about the exposure to new ideas or knowledge. Be sure to thank your facilitators for their time and commitment, without them there would be no OLLI classes!
