What were the dinosaurs? Dinosaurs were reptiles
Reptiles……. Reptiles are animals that have skin covered with scales. l Reptiles lay eggs and breathe with lungs. l Reptiles we see today are---- crocodiles, snakes, lizards, turtles etc. l But dinosaurs were very different from these animals.
About dinosaurs There were different types of dinosaurs. l Their shapes and sizes were different l Their tails, necks, legs, heads and scales were also different. l Some had spikes on their bodies. l Some had horns over the eyes and on nose.

Long years ago… l Dinosaurs lived on the earth many-many millions of years ago. l About 65 millions years ago, all dinosaurs on the earth died out. None were left.
How did we learn about dinosaurs? l We learn about dinosaurs through ‘FOSSILS’. l Fossils are remains of plants and animals harden into stones. l We also get information from skeletons.
