Nutrition Services - Outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy Program Ø Nutrition counseling with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Zoe Yeh Ø Ø Ø Francesca Mura Nutrition counseling is for everyone – adults, teens, infants, children, pregnant and post partum women, and the elderly Patients see the dietitians one-on-one (the counseling session is individualized) Group classes are available for people with diabetes and pre-diabetes

Nutrition Services If patients would like to see one of the dietitians for nutrition

Nutrition Services If patients would like to see one of the dietitians for nutrition counseling, then the patient should contact his/her Provider’s Team (Gold or Purple Team) to schedule an appointment. Nutrition appointments are available at the Tohono O’odham Nation Health Care facilities: Sells Hospital, the Santa Rosa Health Center, the San Simon Health Center, and the San Xavier Health Center.

Nutrition Services - Inpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy - Nutrition counseling with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and some nutrition education conducted by the Dietetic Technician Teri Young Inpatient Dietitians Zoe Yeh Francesca Mura Dietetic Technician Nutrition consults generated from Inpatient Provider and Nursing Staff. The Dietitian sees the patient and/or family members during hospitalization.

Food Service Section The Chili Pepper Café Sells Indian Hospital A weekly menu is sent out via email to employees and to customers who would like to receive the weekly menu § The menu promotes health and wellness. § Wholesome food items are included such as fresh fruits & vegetables, whole grains, lowfat milk and milk products, lean meats, non-dairy items such as soy milk and tofu, and other plant-based items such as beans, nuts, and legumes. § Heart-healthy fats such as olive oil and Smart Balance® margarine are used for cooking.

Snack and ala carte items are available such as yogurt, milk, bagels, fresh fruit, string cheese, and cold cereal, and can be purchased throughout the day.

Ordering can be done by: • signing up on the order sheet in the cafeteria • calling extension 7362 to place an order Employees and customers can sign up for more than one day at a time. Look for the next day’s sign up sheet in the cafeteria Employees pay for the meal at the time the order is picked up
