Introduction • The Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime & Policing Act 2014: - Royal Ascent 13 March 2014 - Fully operational from 20 October 2014 • Act introduced significant changes in how local authorities, police and other agencies respond to ASB • Overall aim is to improve partners response to, and support for, victims of ASB

Community Remedy • Responsibility of the Police and Crime Commissioner to produce and put in place. • Used as part of the existing process for delivering community resolutions. • Simpler and more effective out-of-court solution to ASB and low level crime, using locally available resources with the victim at the heart of the response. • Remedies may include: – a verbal or written apology, – mediation, – restorative practice, – engagement in an Acceptable Behaviour Contract (ABC)
E-Cins • Cloud-based case management system used for recording and managing ASB • Provides a central hub where the Council and partners can record incidents of ASB, task and inform one another, bring together reports in one place and share information in real time • NBC teams including Community Safety, ASBU, Environmental Health/Protection using system • Northants Police are actively using E-Cins • Northampton Partnership Homes use the system for managing all their ASB cases • Other local Registered Housing Providers are being invited to start using it for their Housing Officers to record incidents of ASB.
