Grading • By groups of 2 (one group of 3 is accepted), choose a paper – 2 -4 pages summary due Jan 23 rd, 23: 59 – 50% of grade • • Understanding of the paper Organization and clarity of the exposition Good presentation, references Proposing / analyzing relevant extensions / new ideas gives bonus (in that case, you can exceed 4 pages (no page limit)) – 20 minutes presentation (+10 min questions) on the last class (Jan. 24 th) – 50% of grade • Understanding of the paper • Clarity and synthesis of the presentation – Summary/presentation need not be exhaustive (i. e. , some parts of the paper may remain uncovered) • Grade individually modulated +/- 2 points – Participation in class – Involvement in the project (mostly evaluated by answers to questions)
