Neptune n Neptune was the planet named after the god of water, but later was extended to the oceans.
Position In The Solar System Neptune is the 8 th planet from the sun. n It orbits 2, 794 million miles from the sun. n
The Rotation n It takes 16 hours, 17 minutes to rotate on its axis.
Neptune’s Size The mass and volume on Neptune is 17 times more than Earth. n Neptune is one of the largest planets. n
Gravity n If you are 70 pounds on earth you would weigh only 84 pounds on Neptune or 114 if you are 100 pounds.
Neptune’s Orbit n It takes 60, 190 days to orbit around the sun on Neptune.
Atmosphere n Neptune's atmosphere has hydrogen, helium, and methane in it.
Temperature The temperature is -370 degrees Fahrenheit. n -184 degrees Celsius. n
Composition Neptune is a gas planet. n Inside of it is water with a rocky core. n It’s a blue planet with rain, oceans, and storms. n
Moons Neptune has 13 moons. n Its largest moon is Triton. n It was discovered long ago. n

Humans On Neptune n You couldn’t really imagine people being on Neptune but if were to go you would probably freeze.
Fun Fact n The interesting thing about my Neptune is that it has storms similar to Jupiter's and its possible that Neptune could have large oceans under its clouds.
