• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) • Educational program first published in 1987 • Jointly sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Heart Association (AHA) • Evidenced based approach to the resuscitation of newborns for hospital staff who care for babies at the time of delivery • 28 years: 3. 4 million trained in nearly 750, 000 courses in the US
• NRP Vision: A qualified team for every resuscitation or anticipated resuscitation, a qualified individual for every delivery. • NRP Mission: To develop an education program for health care professionals that promotes optimal care and resuscitation of newborns.
