Annexes include policies, processes, roles, and responsibilities to be used before, during, and after a disaster or emergency. “All-hazards” approach is used. Should expound upon and complement the Basic Plan. 4

Regional EOP Overview May, 2004 REGIONAL EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN Annex A: Direction & Control n n This section provides overview information on the means used to direct and control Task Force Activities essential to saving lives and protecting property, especially hospitals and their functions. When there is no emergency, the purpose is to plan and assign emergency duties and responsibilities, direct planning, conduct training, and generally to maintain an effective emergency response capability. In time of emergency, the purpose is to direct and control emergency operations, assure the implementation of actions as called for in this plan, disseminate emergency information to the public, and coordinate with the State Emergency Operations Center should outside assistance be required. All “responsible parties” should know the Basic Plan and 5 Annex A thoroughly.

Much of the information presented here is for awareness only. However, the Resource Request Form may be utilized by hospitals and other facilities in an emergency. When these requests are submitted to the RHCC, EOC staff will do everything possible to fulfill them. n 20
