Our work in a Go. Lab last weeks of April 2016 I just edit the existing ISL “How to can be rainbow arise? ” from the repository of Go. Lab; There are some mathematical and physical knowledge's which I would like have to experiment and learn in our classroom;
Orientation phase some questions about light and rainbow Have you ever thought how a rainbow appeared in the atmosphere ? ! Could never appeared arc in the atmosphere?
Orientation phase some questions about light and rainbow What "articles" and conditions are necessary for the formation of the phenomenon? What are the basic knowledge to explain this situation - colorful rainbow?
Conceptualizations thinking about basic concepts 1. What is the light and how it spreads? 2. When a beam of light does not change its direction of propagation? 3. When light beam changes its direction of propagation? 4. Is there a connection between the light source (beam) and position of the observer? 5. Are there different form arcs in the atmosphere? 6. What is seen in the direction of the incident rays when we are in 3 D space? 7. When observer can see the atmospheric circular arc? 8. Can you at any time of the day to watch the arc in the atmosphere? Key words: reflection, refraction, intensity, speed, environments, circle, measure of angle Make observations. Use preparing materials and go to the hypothesis tool. Can you make hypothesis –what is the reason to see a rainbow on the sky
Еxploring Studying in a virtual laboratory - "Bending of light“ 1. Open the application Intro and experiment with lasers to light in different environments and at different angles! Process data with Experimental Design Tool. Analyze in Data Viewer! Analyze your observations in the Observation Tool 2. Scroll to monitor the reflections if you have different shaped objects as run the application Prisms. Explore the position of the broken corners in different environments. 3. Analyze findings in the Observation Tool (1) 4. Get the Geo. Gebra exercise to make constructions
Physical phase Make a couple experiments with intensity of light row in different environments; Place data in data analyzer and look for some relation between: ◦ incident angle; intensity, index of refraction, refraction angle, hue; ◦ reflection angle ; intensity, index of refraction, reflection angle, hue.
Mathematical phase
Goals of investigations Students explore the physical side of the phenomenon of light refraction and reflection of light and reach the relationship between speed and refractive index in different environments; Students explore and learn the geometry of reflection and refraction in a circle – how it’s happened step by step.
Conclusions, Discus and more useful information about phenomena Describe short answers to the following questions and discuss with other classmates! 1. What causes the appearance of a rainbow in the atmosphere? 2. What are the colors of the rainbow? 3. How does the rainbow? 4. Can the rainbow is a whole circle? 5. Can we see a rainbow in every moment of the day? 6. What position should take the observer if he wants to see the rainbow? 7. What is thing called double rainbow? 8. When did you get the effect - double rainbow? ◦ Now go back to the beginning you made hypotheses and compare them with your conclusions. Identify mistakes you may have committed in the drafting of case (s).
I think that the implementation of ILS give me and my students: Possibility of learning style research; Ability to communicate; Ability to learn at school and home; Possible to verify the knowledge; Ability to integrate knowledge from different subjects; Ability to team work of students; Ability to teamwork of several teacher from the same or different scientific field. What about our expirience. . . ?
I think also that important to implement an any ILS or make own such is connected to: It requires time for self; It requires time to prepare and teacher; It requires a broad view and outlook of the teacher in the choice of space; INS is desirable to be made of the native language, i. e. most are in English, and that now is a language barrier especially for younger students; The platform must be approved by the Ministry of Education in the country to be given the freedom to use it in sync with the educational content of different subjects in all levels of education. Feedback from me
END Thank you!
