History! • The Battle of the Waxhaw’s is the name of the battle that took place during the American Revolution, on May 29, 1780 in South Carolina. They fought with the American colonist. A patriot force led by Abraham Buford and a loyalist force led by Banastre Tarleton. Opinions! • The Waxhaw Indian Tribe didn’t agree with the National Policy Of Removal of Native Americans. Although some Native Americans were able to escape the removal. • Congress authorized $500, 000 to carry out this act, and the pace of removal accelerated dramatically. • Treaties negotiated in the aftermath of the War of 1812 had already reduced the Native American population.
