National Risk Assessment Workshop April 30, 2013 National Disaster Management Institute(NDMI) 1
Introduction of NDMI National Disaster Management Institute (NDMI)has been progressively performing research on national disaster management since it was founded in 1997 as National Institute for Disaster Prevention (NIDP). Through achievements of researches, NDMI has contributed largely to advance disaster management technology and policy raising the public awareness, and building disaster response capacity and effective disaster risk reduction. NDMI, the only national institute for research on disaster and safety, is strengthening the coordination of national disaster and safety R&D, as the exchange hub for disaster management technology and policy between national and foreign research institutes. 2
