What are the benefits of NJHS? • Induction into the NJHS: • Demonstrates your commitment to the four essential qualities and student involvement. • Identifies you to future administrators and educators as a leader in the classroom, school, and community.
How can I become eligible? • To become eligible you must maintain a cumulative 3. 5 GPA as computed by the district. • Your four semesters are from 6 -7 th Grade.
How can I become eligible? • Once you are identified as eligible you must then meet the requirements for induction in the categories of character, service, scholarship, and leadership by completing the required writing assignment.
GPA • Eligibility requires the 3. 5 cumulative GPA as calculated by the district. • Induction requires the maintaining of the 3. 0 cumulative GPA as calculated by the district.
When will I know? • Students who are eligible will be notified during the interim period of the 3 rd nine weeks. • Students who successfully complete the requirements for induction will be notified after the end of the 3 rd nine weeks. • The induction ceremony will take place near the end of the year.
